On the November dates you leave Malpensa at 12:00, change in Chengdu after 3h40 and land in Hong Kong at 12:05 the next day. The flight home leaves at 08:10, stops for 1h30 in Beijing Daxing and lands in Milan at 17:15 the same day. In January the outbound stop is in Beijing Capital (2h30) instead. Some cheaper dates have a 16-hour stop and a change of airport in Shanghai: these dates avoid that.
💰 How far does your money go?
A spritz at aperitivo time in Milan costs about €10. In Hong Kong, a bowl of wonton noodles costs about €5, a full dim sum breakfast about €12 and a ride across the harbour on the Star Ferry about €0.60. The old tram along Hong Kong Island costs €0.35, less than a coffee at the bar in Milan.
☀️ The Weather
Late November to January is the best time to visit Hong Kong. Expect dry, sunny days of 19-22°C, cool evenings around 15°C and almost no rain. The summer humidity is gone, so it is perfect weather for hiking the hills.
