Snow on the yellow cabs, steam from the street grates and a skyline that looks even better in winter.

The return leaves New York at 00:15, stops for 8h30 in Bogotá and lands in Madrid at 06:10 the following day. Hand luggage and one checked bag are included. 💰 How far does your money go?

Eat like a New Yorker and the city stays manageable. A cheese slice costs $3.50-$5, about €3-4.50, roughly the price of a caña and a tapa in La Latina. A deli coffee is $2-3, and a subway ride anywhere in the city is a flat $3. Sit-down bars are another story: a draught pint runs around $8, close to €7.50, almost three cañas back in Madrid.

☀️ The Weather

Late January and early February are the coldest weeks of the New York year. Highs sit around 3-5°C and nights drop to -3°C or lower. Snow is likely at some point, and the wind off the Hudson makes it feel colder. Pack a proper coat, gloves and a hat.

🎯 What to Do

Winter thins the crowds and New York moves indoors, to museums, bars and diners.

Lunar New Year in Chinatown: The Year of the Goat starts on Saturday 6 February 2027, with firecrackers and lion dances around Mott Street. The €267 dates cover it.

Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island: The official ferry to Liberty Island and the immigration museum on Ellis Island, with almost no queue in winter.

Empire State Building: The 86th-floor open-air deck, at its sharpest on a cold, clear day.

9/11 Memorial & Museum: The memorial pools and the museum at the World Trade Center site.

MoMA: Van Gogh's Starry Night, Warhol and Picasso, the perfect plan for a snowy afternoon.
