It costs more than £22 to get across London on a weekend. Wizz Air is selling non-stop return flights from London to Seville for £22 this June, and Seville in summer is exactly what it sounds like: 35°C, cold beer for €2, and an old city that looks like it was built to be photographed.

💰 How far does your money go?
A caña of cold beer in Seville costs €1.50. A tapa of jamón or tortilla often comes free with it. A full tapas meal, four plates and a drink, runs around €12. That is roughly what a single pint costs in central London. Dinner for two with wine sits around €40 in a decent restaurant.
☀️ The weather
Seville in June hits 35°C. Clear skies are almost guaranteed. The evenings drop to around 22°C, warm enough for a long dinner outside without a jacket.
🏨 Where to stay
Seville has hotels across every price point, many inside old palaces and townhouses.
Hotel Rey Alfonso X · 8.2/10 · From €75/night Right in the centre, clean and well-run. The right base for walking everywhere without spending on taxis.
EME Catedral Hotel · 8.6/10 · From €150/night Rooftop pool with direct views of the cathedral. Mid-range price, genuinely special setting.
Hotel Alfonso XIII · 9.1/10 · From €380/night A grand Moorish-style palace, one of the most iconic hotels in Spain. The lobby alone is worth a look even if you are not staying.
🎯 What to do
Seville is built for wandering. But these four are worth planning around.
Real Alcázar: The working royal palace dates back to the 10th century. The gardens alone take an hour. Book tickets in advance, queues are long in June.
Flamenco at Casa de la Memoria: An intimate tablao in a 15th-century palace. Proper flamenco, not a tourist show. One of the best live experiences in the city.
Tapas crawl in Triana: Cross the river and eat where locals eat. No queues, lower prices, better food.
Las Setas at sunset: The wooden mushroom structure in La Encarnación Square. Climb to the walkway at the top as the sun drops. Views across the whole city.
🗺️ Where to go from here
Seville sits in the middle of Andalusia. Three cities are an easy day trip or overnight.
Córdoba: The Mezquita mosque-cathedral is one of the most arresting buildings in Europe. 45 minutes on the AVE high-speed train.
Granada: The Alhambra, the Albaicín neighbourhood, and the Sierra Nevada visible from the city. Around 3 hours by bus. Book Alhambra tickets weeks in advance.
Ronda: A small white city balanced on the edge of a dramatic gorge. 2 hours by train.
At £22 return, there is no version of this that does not make sense. Check dates before June fills up.
