💰 How far does your money go?
Bangkok makes a Madrid salary feel generous. A plate of mango sticky rice from a street stall costs around €2.50, less than a caña and a tapa in La Latina. A bowl of boat noodles is about €1.20, a cold Chang from a 7-Eleven around €1.50, and a Skytrain ride across the city is under €1.70. Dinner for two at a busy Chinatown restaurant rarely goes past €20.
☀️ The weather
April is Bangkok's hottest month, with highs of 35°C and nights around 27°C. May stays at 34°C, with the first afternoon storms arriving mid-month. Early June brings the rainy season: 33°C by day and short, heavy downpours, usually late in the afternoon. Mornings are the best time for temples and markets.
