💰 How far does your money go?
Lima is one of the best food cities in the world, and eating well does not cost much. A set lunch menu with ceviche and a main course is around €5, less than a menú del día in Madrid. A pisco sour in a Barranco bar costs about €5, a plate of chifa fried rice in Chinatown €4, and a ride on the Metropolitano bus €0.80.
☀️ The weather
February and March are Lima's summer, with sunny days of 27 to 28°C and the sea warm enough to swim. April and May cool down to 21 to 24°C. From June the city turns grey under the coastal mist known as garúa, with highs around 18 to 19°C but almost no rain. At the same time, the Andes enter the dry season, the best time of year for Cusco and the mountains.
