💰 How far does your money go?
A chopp, São Paulo's draft beer, costs around €2.50, cheaper than a caña on a Madrid terrace. Lunch at a local boteco runs €4–€7 and comes with rice, beans, meat and salad, more food than a menú del día for less money. A proper sit-down dinner in Jardins, the smart part of town, still lands around €12–€25 a head.
☀️ The Weather
November is spring turning to summer in São Paulo, with daytime highs around 27°C and warm nights near 17°C. It's a wetter month, with short afternoon downpours on and off, so pack a light rain jacket alongside the shorts. Between showers it clears fast, plenty of sunshine to go with the heat.
🏨 Where to Stay
Jardins puts you within walking distance of restaurants, Avenida Paulista and most of what's worth seeing.
ibis budget São Paulo Jardins — 7.4/10 · From €56/night Simple, well-located rooms metres from Pamplona Garden Shopping, ideal for anyone who just needs a clean base in Jardins.

🎯 What to Do
São Paulo runs on street art by day and long dinners by night, often in the same neighbourhood.
Walk Beco do Batman — Vila Madalena's graffiti alley, covered wall to wall by some of Brazil's best-known street artists.
Spend a morning in Ibirapuera Park — The city's green lung, with museums, lakes and joggers weaving between them.
Eat a mortadela sandwich at Mercado Municipal — São Paulo's landmark food market, stacked with tropical fruit and local classics.
Walk Avenida Paulista on a Sunday — The whole avenue closes to traffic and fills with cyclists, musicians and street performers.
🗺️ Where to Go From Here
São Paulo is also the easiest way into some of Brazil's biggest names.
Rio de Janeiro — Copacabana, Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf, about an hour by domestic flight.
Ilhabela — Beaches and waterfalls on a car-free island, roughly 3.5 hours by road and ferry.
Paraty — Colonial cobbled streets and nearby coves, about 4.5 hours by bus down the coast.
Non-stop to Brazil from Madrid under €600 return doesn't come up often. Check your dates and lock it in before November fills up.
