💰 How Far Does Your Money Go?
A filling bowl of ramen or a beef gyudon in Tokyo costs around €4, less than a coffee back in Stockholm. A canned coffee from a vending machine is under €1, and a solid convenience-store lunch rarely tops €5. Even a proper izakaya dinner with drinks, the kind with skewers and highballs until midnight, comes in around €20 a head.
