Manhattan skyscrapers are one thing. Hong Kong's are stacked on top of a harbour, a jungle and a night market all at once. Air China now flies from Stockholm into that chaos, with fares from €335 return.

💰 How far does your money go?
A full cha chaan teng meal, rice, meat, a milk tea, costs around €9. A street snack like an egg waffle or a bowl of congee is €2.50 to €5, barely the price of a bus ticket at home. A local draught beer runs about €6, similar to Stockholm, but a proper sit-down dinner for two in Hong Kong lands around €30, roughly half of what the same night out costs in Södermalm.
☀️ The Weather
Hong Kong stays warm well into autumn. August is hot and humid, with highs around 32°C and frequent short downpours, so pack for rain. September holds similar heat but the humidity starts to ease. By October the city settles into its best stretch, 24°C to 28°C and mostly dry. November turns properly pleasant, 20°C to 24°C with low humidity, the ideal window for walking the harbourfront.

🎯 What to Do
A city that runs on neon, dim sum and a harbour that never sits still.
Victoria Peak — Take the Peak Tram up for the skyline view every postcard steals, best just before sunset.
Star Ferry across Victoria Harbour — Seven minutes, less than a euro, still the cheapest great view in Asia.
Temple Street Night Market — Street food stalls, fortune tellers and karaoke stands after dark in Kowloon.
Tai O fishing village, Lantau — Stilt houses over the water and the Big Buddha nearby, a different Hong Kong entirely.
🗺️ Where to Go From Here
Hong Kong is also a launchpad for the rest of the Pearl River Delta and the islands around it.
Macau — One hour by ferry, colonial old town, Portuguese egg tarts and casinos that never sleep.
Lamma Island — Thirty minutes from Central, hiking trails and seafood restaurants with no cars in sight.
Cheung Chau — An hour by ferry, a fishing village with quiet beaches and one of the best bakeries in the territory.
From €335, this is one of the cheapest ways out of Stockholm into Asia this year. Autumn dates go first.
