🗺️ Where to Go From Here
Melbourne is a base, not just a destination. The Space Coast and central Florida open up from here.
Cocoa Beach — 20 minutes north. Classic Florida beach town: surf shops, uncrowded sands in June and the famous Ron Jon Surf Shop. Good swimming, easy day trip.
Kennedy Space Center and Titusville — 45 minutes north. Combine it with a Cocoa Beach afternoon for a full day on the Space Coast.
Orlando — 1 hour west. Disney World, Universal Studios, EPCOT. Possible as a day trip, but an overnight gives you more room to breathe.
St. Augustine — 2 hours north. America's oldest city: a Spanish colonial fort, cobblestone streets and good food. A very different side of Florida and worth the drive.
Miami — 3 hours south by car, or a short domestic hop. Wynwood, South Beach, Little Havana. If you have extra days, it is worth it. Search flights
