💰 How far does your money go?
Kenya runs cheap once you land. A plate of nyama choma, grilled meat straight off the fire, costs about €6. A cold Tusker in a Westlands bar is €2, roughly a third of what a terrace beer costs you in Amsterdam. A matatu across town is €0.80 against the €3.40 you hand over for a single tram ride at home. September is Nairobi's dry season. Days sit around 24°C, nights drop to 13°C because the city stands 1,800 metres up. Bright, dusty, easy. October brings the first short rains, usually late-afternoon downpours that clear fast. November is wetter, near 25°C, with rain on more days than not. For clear game drives, aim for September.
