Check the details before booking. To Bangkok, you fly out from Gatwick and return to Heathrow, with about 14 hours in Guangzhou on the way back. To Chiang Mai, the stop in Beijing is about 12 hours on the way out, and the return also lands at Heathrow. Phuket has the shortest stops, in Beijing and Chengdu.
